 How does it work

Spinal bones can become restricted or misaligned - this is what is called a subluxation. Subluxated joints can be responsible for applying pressure or irritation to nerves leading to tingling, numbness or pain but could be so subtle that they cause no symptoms at all. Chiropractors are specifically trained to identify the presence of subluxations. Although it takes years to develop the sensitive touch to locate subluxations, you are likely to recognise them if they are pointed out to you.

The treatment carried out by your chiropractor will help to reduce the pressure and irritation on your nerves, taking away the interference so your body can do what it needs to do. Heal and repair… It’s as simple as that!

 Your first visit

Treatment is only offered after a thorough initial consultation. First a ”case history” is taken. Your case history is vital as it reveals the background about your health, such as operations, accidents, the onset of your condition, and other details which brought you to our clinic.

After reviewing your history and discussing your specific problem, a thorough orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic examination is performed – women are provided with a gown. X-ray may be necessary, which can help uncover structural and functional problem.

Once the examination is complete, your chiropractor will explains the findings and outline any appropriate further actions. If your problem is not appropriate for chiropractic management you will be advised what to do or be sent to another Health Professional. Progress with treatment at TheClinic will be carefully monitored.
